Managed Website Hosting Terms
Last updated: 29 August 2026
1. Service
EaseThat may provide managed hosting, website migration, DNS assistance, SSL configuration, WordPress/WooCommerce administration, backup, monitoring, maintenance and related technical support as specified in the applicable order.
2. Third-party infrastructure
Hosting may use third-party cloud, data-centre, domain, DNS, security, email or platform providers. EaseThat does not claim ownership of third-party infrastructure and may change an underlying provider where reasonably necessary, subject to contractual commitments.
3. Availability and maintenance
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability unless a written service level expressly says so. Planned maintenance, emergency maintenance, internet failures, third-party platform incidents and events outside reasonable control can affect availability.
4. Customer responsibilities
Customers must maintain accurate contacts, provide timely access/approvals, protect their credentials, use supported software where required, comply with the Acceptable Use Policy and promptly notify us of suspected security incidents.
5. Backups
Where backups are included, their frequency, retention and restore scope are as stated in the service order. Unless expressly agreed, backups are a recovery measure and should not be treated as the customer's only copy of business-critical data.
6. Security and updates
Managed maintenance may include reasonable security hardening, platform/core/plugin updates and monitoring. No security measure can eliminate all risk. Customer-requested delays to critical updates or unsupported software may increase risk and may affect support obligations.
7. Domains, DNS and certificates
Domain names, DNS services and certificates may be supplied or administered through third parties. The customer must ensure domain ownership and registration details are accurate and must cooperate with verification or renewal requirements.
8. Fees, renewals and suspension
Hosting charges and billing periods are stated in the order. Services may renew for the period stated unless terminated in accordance with the order. EaseThat may suspend a service for material non-payment, serious security risk, unlawful use or material breach after reasonable notice where practicable.
9. Migration and termination
On termination, EaseThat will provide reasonable cooperation for an agreed migration/export, subject to payment of outstanding charges and any applicable migration fees. Customers should arrange transfer before the termination date. Data may be deleted from live and backup systems after the applicable retention/termination period.
10. Customer content and licences
The customer is responsible for ensuring that its website content, software, media, databases and licences are lawful and properly licensed. EaseThat may require removal of content that creates a legal, security or material operational risk.
11. Data protection
Where EaseThat processes personal data on behalf of the customer, the parties will enter into appropriate processor terms where required. Each party remains responsible for its own compliance obligations.
12. Liability
The liability provisions in the applicable order or B2B Terms of Sale apply. Customers should maintain appropriate business-continuity arrangements for services where website unavailability would cause material loss.
