Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: 29 August 2026

1. Purpose

This policy protects EaseThat, its customers, suppliers and internet users from misuse of hosting and managed online services.

2. Prohibited activity

You must not use an EaseThat-managed hosting service to:

  • break the law or facilitate unlawful activity;
  • host, distribute or control malware, ransomware, phishing, credential theft or malicious code;
  • send unsolicited bulk messages or operate abusive mailing/spam services;
  • attempt unauthorised access, scanning, exploitation or attacks against systems or networks;
  • operate open proxies, botnets, abusive scraping, cryptomining or other unusually resource-intensive services unless expressly agreed;
  • infringe intellectual-property, privacy or other legal rights;
  • store or transmit content that creates a material security, legal or infrastructure risk.

3. Security

Customers must use strong access controls, protect credentials and cooperate with reasonable security requirements. If a compromise is suspected, EaseThat may take proportionate emergency action to contain risk.

4. Resource usage

Shared or managed hosting must not be used in a manner that materially degrades services for other users. Where resource usage becomes unsuitable for the agreed platform, we may propose a different hosting tier or architecture.

5. Enforcement

EaseThat may investigate credible reports of misuse and may suspend or restrict services where reasonably necessary to protect systems, comply with law or prevent material harm. Where practicable, we will notify the customer's authorised contact.
